Judge Liu, along with her family and friends, walked in the city's 42nd Annual Pride Parade, which drew over 400,000 spectators this year. Their group of walkers was one of the 250 registered entries in the event, which has become the second largest parade in Chicago. |

Judge Liu hosted a luncheon at the Daley Center courtroom for members of a Beijing, China delegation comprised of approximately 20 judges, prosecutors, law professors and social workers, who spent three months in Chicago to observe the Cook County judicial and administrative legal processes. |

Judge Liu became a member of the Board of the Illinois Judges Foundation, a charitable organization involving several initiatives to further diversity and inclusion in the legal community, including a summer judicial internship program comprised of minority or financially disadvantaged law students. |

Judge Liu rated contestants as a panel judge during a karaoke fundraiser held by the Asian American Law Foundation at Brandon’s Speakeasy. The proceeds are used to fund scholarships for minority law students in the Chicago community. |

Judge Liu, the first female Chinese American judge to serve in Illinois, was honored during the Annual Lunar New Year Reception held at the Chicago-Kent College of Law. The event was co-hosted by AABA, CABA, and KABA, and recognized three new Asian American judges. |
